Zane enlists in the army
Billy Zane joined the cast of The Hessen Affair, a World War II thriller written by Oscar nominee Nicholas Meyer (The Human Stain). In the $20 million film, directed by first-timer Paul Breuls, American officers discover German jewels and attempt to smuggle them to New York. It is based on true events in 1945. Shooting is expected to begin later this month.
