Rhames steps into the ring
Director Robert Townsend has found his Sonny Liston: Ving Rhames. The veteran actor will be the infamous heavyweight fighter in Phantom Punch, a biopic written by Ryan Combs. The film follows the heavyweight champion's rise to stardom, and his eventual downfall by Muhammad Ali's "phantom punch," which many were convinced led to the end of Liston's lucrative boxing career.
