New Line births Daughter
New Line Cinema purchased domestic rights to The New Daughter, a thriller starring Kevin Costner and Ivana Baquero. The John Travis-scripted film finds Costner as a single father of two who is concerned when one of his daughters begins to display scary behavior. Principal photography is expected to begin in early 2008.

Costner to be a farmer
Kevin Costner is starring in a new thriller, The New Daughter, from first-time director Luis Berdejo. In the film, Costner will play John James, a single father of two, who moves to a farm after a divorce. Afterwards, one of his daughters, Ivana Baquero of Pan’s Labyrinth, begins to display scary behavior. Principal photography is expected to begin in early 2008 for The New Daughter, which is an adapted story by John Connolly. John Travis wrote the script.
