Trachtenberg, Hardin take on 17
Michelle Trachtenberg (Kids in America) and Melora Hardin (The Office) joined the cast of teen comedy 17, to be directed by Burr Steers (Igby Goes Down). In the film, a play on the 80s hit Big, Trachtenberg will play the daughter of a character jointly played by Matthew Perry and Zac Efron. Hardin will be principle of the school. Production is scheduled to begin this month.

Perry is 17 again
Matthew Perry joined the lineup of teen comedy 17, playing a middle-age father who wakes one morning and finds out he's 17. Zac Efron (High School Musical 2) is attached to star as a younger version of Perry, and Leslie Mann (Knocked Up) will be Perry's wife. Production is expected to begin in December.

Mann, Efron sign on to 17
The 40 Year-Old Virgin and Knocked Up alumnus Leslie Mann signed on to star in New Line's teen comedy, 17, opposite Zac Efron, of High School Musical fame. Putting a twist on Big, released 19 years ago, 17 follows an adult who finds himself as a teen again in high school. Efron will play the 17 year old, and Mann will play Scarlett, the wife of Efron's adult character. Jason Filardi wrote the script and Burr Steers will direct.
