Kill Bill alumnus takes swing at Wonderland
Chiaki Kuriyama, you know, the actress behind that feisty Go-Go Yubari girl assassin character in Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill franchise, will star in GS Wonderland, a feature about Japan's pop scene in the '60s. In the film, her character poses as a man to join a Group Sounds band, a Japanese pop movement inspired by the Beatles. Ryuichi Honda will direct GS Wonderland, which is expected to be released in summer 2008.
