Plum Pictures gobbles up new dark comedy
Plum Pictures, based out of New York, will produce Turkey in the Straw, a dark comedy to be directed by Craig Zobel. Zobel also co-wrote the script with Barlow Jacobs, whose lone writing credit includes Low and Behold, released in 2007. Turkey in the Straw, set in the South, focuses on a county commissioner race that turns twisted when one of the candidates shoots the other. Filming is expected to begin next year in South Carolina.
