Half Nelson team gear up for Physics
Ryan Fleck and Anna Boden, who collaborated on the well-received indie film Half Nelson, will adapt the Marisha Pessl novel Special Topics in Calamity Physics. Fleck will also direct the film for Miramax. The story follows a teenager who has spent each of her high school years moving around with her eccentric father, who is a teacher. She is finally anticipating normalcy at a North Carolina high school, and while there she becomes involved with some of the "higher class" kids known as Bluebloods. Together, the group becomes involved in a mystery surrounding the death of a favorite teacher.
