The Swarm heads to big screen
Dino and Martha De Laurentiis are set to turn the Frank Schatzing novel The Swarm into a big-budget film. Ted Tally will adapt the novel, which will be positioned as a big-budget ecological disaster film. The story centers around an alien presence that lives quietly and peacefully on the ocean floor. When pollution begins to disrupt its existence, it becomes determined to destroy humanity. Scientists must rush to try to stop the impending end of days the alien might produce.
