Universal full of Overachievers
Universal Pictures has acquired the Alexandra Robbins book The Overachievers to adapt for the big screen. The comedy is based on a nonfiction tale about high school students who are obsessed with succeeding on the SAT and getting into the best colleges. As they work toward their goals, they must also deal with illness, exhaustion, cheating, over-involved parents, and mental acuity. Shawn Levy plans to produce the film, which would be a character driven film in the tradition of John Hughes. Levy may also direct.
