Warner to Adapt Librarian Adventure
Warner Bros. Pictures has opted to hire Mark Burton (Madagascar; Chicken Run) to write an adaptation of James Turner's comicbook Rex Libris. It is about librarian Rex Libris, who joins a secret sect of librarians to battle evil forces who seek to destroy the libary system. Their duties include tracking down overdue and stolen books, as well as stopping much more sinister actions like tampering with the Dewey Decimal System. Rex and his fellow librarians are aided by an ancient god who lives underneath the library, as well as their collection of high-tech weapons and, of course, their great intellects.
