Green to Adapt Grisham's Nonfiction Story
David Gordon Green (George Washington; All the Real Girls) is close to a deal to write and direct an adapation of John Grisham's nonfiction book The Innocent Man: Murder and Injustice in a Small Town for Warner Independent Pictures. The book was published this past October and tells the story of Ron Williamson, a man wrongly convicted of murder and who spent more than a decade on Oklahoma's death row. Smoke House, George Clooney and Grant Heslov's production company, is teaming with Warner on the project.
