MacLaine, Dukakis to Join Grandma Gang
Shirley MacLaine and Olympia Dukakis will co-star in Poor Things, a dark comedy about a gang of elderly women, to be directed by Ash Baron Cohen (cousin of Borat star Sacha). The story was inspired by actual events about the crimes committed by various "grandma gangs," which have included scams and cons involving drugs, insurance fraud, and even murder. Trent Haaga wrote the script.
