McGregor, Griffiths to Wear Jackboots
Ewan McGregor and Richard Griffiths (Harry Potter; Venus) have decided to add their voices to the cast of Jackboots on Whitehall, an unusual comedy satire that will use action figures (a la puppets) to imagine what would have happened if the Germans had been victorious at the Battle of Britian in World War II. The movie is the directorial debut of Edward McHenry, who also co-wrote the story with brother Rory. McGregor will voice the lead role as a heroic Scottish farmhand who fights in the battle and later wins the girl. Griffiths will play Luftwaffe leader Hermann Goering. Other voice talents in the cast include Rosamund Pike, Richard E. Grant, Tom Wilkinson, Timothy Spall (as Churchill) and Alan Cumming (as Hitler).
