Lionsgate Heads for Backwoods
Lionsgate has obtained the North American distribution rights to The Backwoods, a thriller starring Gary Oldman. Directed by Spanish first-time Koldo Serra, the story is set in Basque country in 1978. Two young couples on vacation find a deformed girl in a cabin. But when they try to help her, the local villagers get angry and things start to get violent. Virginie Ledoyen, Paddy Considine, Aitana Sanchez-Gijon and Lluis Homar also star.
