Almodovar Plans Next Film
Pedro Almodovar's next film will be El Piel Que Habito (The Skin I Live In), with his longtime friend and coworker Penelope Cruz likely to star. The movie will be a departure from his typical style. Though little is known about the story except that it is loosely adapted from Mygale, a 1995 novel by Thierry Jonquet, in which a plastic surgeon gets revenge on men who raped his daughter. Just one scene from the book will be used, however. Almodovar's Volver (also with Cruz) is currently in theaters, and his resume also includes Tie Me Up! Tie Me Down!, All About My Mother, Talk to Her, and Bad Education.
