Carlson Bets on Player 5150
Kelly Carlson (The Marine; Nip/Tuck) has agreed to star in Player 5150 for Azurelite Pictures. The film was written by David Michael O'Neill, who will also direct, and is described as an illegal-gambling drama. Carlson will take the role of the assistant and lover of a dangerous bookie (Christopher McDonald) who is trying to collect money owed by one of his clients (Ethan Embry). The bookie tries to help shield his assistant and lover from the seedy, violent side of the business, but she is quite capable at handling things on her own. The title refers to insider code for illegal gamblers who are in distress. The production is currently in Los Angeles filming, and will soon move to Las Vegas to shoot.
