Scorsese Duels with Historical Novel
Martin Scorsese will develop, with an option to direct, a feature adaptation of author Eric Jager's historical novel "The Last Duel: A True Story of Crime, Scandal and Trial by Combat in Medieval France" for Paramount. The book tells the story of a 1386 duel betwen two knights, Jean de Carrouges and Jacques LeGris. The duel was the last one officially sanctioned by the French government.
