De Niro and 50 Cent Head to New Orleans
Robert De Niro and 50 Cent are in negotiations to star in New Orleans, a police thriller from director Tim Hunter. The story, previously titled Microwave Park, is about a cop (De Niro) who believes that his partner died in Hurricane Katrina, but he was actually shot to death. He investigates the homicide with his new partner (Cent), and they uncover a world of police corruption. Originally the project was to be set in Los Angeles, but plans changed after Katrina.
