Disney to Mix Animation and Live Action
Walt Disney has acquired the rights to Animated American, a film that will use a mix of live-action and animation, in a style similar to that of Robert Zemeckis' Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Peter Ackerman will write the story, about a misfit teen who finds himself alone and trying to fit in after graduation, after his girlfriend leaves him. The main character will be animated, while everything in the world around him will be live-action.
