Mackie on Track to Play Owens
Anthony Mackie (Half Nelson; We Are Marshall) will play track and field legend Jesse Owens in a biopic that will begin shooting next summer. James L. White (Ray) wrote the story that tracks Owens' rise to international stardom at the 1936 Berlin Olympics, where German leader Adolf Hitler watched him win four gold medals.
