Bana and Howard to Star in BTK Story
Eric Bana and Terrence Howard will both star in Factor X for New Line Cinema, a thriller telling the story of how the infamous BTK killer was captured. Gregory Allen Howard (Remember the Titans) wrote the script and Ridley Scott will co-produce, potentially leading to a directing gig for Scott. The BTK killer murdered people in and near Wichita, Kansas between 1974-1991 and was finally caught in 2005. The man turned out to be a mild-mannered church leader. The acronym BTK described his modus operandi, of bind, torture and kill. Bana will play a Wichita detective who spent his career trying to track the killer, and who eventually teams up with a Washington-based counterterrorism expert (Howard).
