Random House Reopens the Galton Case
Random House Films has gone deep into their archive and will develop The Galton Case, based on author Ross McDonald's 1959 mystery novel. The story features McDonald's hallmark character Lew Archer, a private detective. Producers Peter Gethers and James Schamus hope that the philosphical and narrative elements, combined with the story's emphasis on deep secrets, in The Galton Case will help turn it into a hit in the vein of L.A. Confidential or A History of Violence.
