New Miyazki Animated Film Coming in 2008
Hayao Miyazaki is working on his next animated film for Studio Ghibili. The still untitled picture is currently set for a summer 2008 release. The acclaimed Japanese filmmaker regularly scores box office sensations in his native country and won the Oscar for best animated film with 2001's Spirited Away. Only scant details have been released about the new film, such as Miyazaki's July excursion to scout locations in Kobe, Japan and his use of watercolors for the storyboards, a departure from his Black & White norm.
