Warner Buys Fantasy Children's Novel
Warner Bros. Pictures has bought the film rights to Here, There Be Dragons, an upcoming fantasy children's novel that will be released by Simon & Schuster next week. From author James A. Owen, the story follows three strangers in London circa World War I. The trio are entrusted with the mythical Imaginarium Geographica, an atlas of all lands that have only existed in legend, fable and fairy tale. They travel to the Archipelago of Dreams, where they fight dark forces, and it is revealed that they are actually future fantasy authors J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis and Charles Williams, who met in real life at Oxford. The plan is to continue the story in six more books, one released every October.
