Randall Wallace (Braveheart; We Were Soldiers) will take the task of adapting Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged into a screenplay. The writer-director has a history of writing stories from epic themes. Angelina Jolie is already on board to star in the film in the role of Dagny Taggart.osinski.

Jolie Shrugs for Rand Adaptation
Angelina Jolie will star in a film adaptation of Ayn Rand's classic novel Atlas Shrugged for Lionsgate. The actress will take the role of Dagney Taggart, a powerful female character. The book was first published in 1957 in the U.S., runs over 1,000 pages, and explores a number of themes including philosphy, politics, and culture.
