Deepa to Helm Julia
Focus Features has hired Deepa Mehta (Fire; Water; Earth) to direct The Julia Project (tentative title), a bio about Julia Mullock. Mullock was an American interior designed who married the last crown prince of Korea, Kyu Lee. The couple met in the 1950s, lived in Hawaii for a time, and then move dto Seoul. In 1982, though, Lee divorced Mullock after pressure from his family about the lack of an heir. He died in 2005 and she currently lives back in Hawaii.
