From Kings to Queens of Comedy
Producer Walter Latham will followup 2000 hit comedy documentary The Original Kings of Comedy with a similar film featuring female comedians, Queens of Comedy: Beyond Bars. Comedians Adele Givens, Sommore and Ms. Laura will perform two shows in October in front of about 500 inmates at the lunch room of the Tennessee Prison for Women in Nashville. The Original Kings was a Spike Lee joint, starring Steve Harvey, Bernie Mac, D.L. Hughley and Cedric the Entertainer, and grossed nearly $39 million.
