Universal to Adapt Deceit
Universal Pictures will develop an adaptation of James Siegel's upcoming novel Deceit, which will be published by Warner Books. Michael Brant and Derek Haas (2 Fast 2 Furious) have been hired to write the script. Th book is about a newspaper reporter who is caught making up stories and fired. He settles in with a small-town paper, where he uncovers a dark government conspiracy related to radiation testing during the 1950s. However, since he made up stories before, nobody will believe him.
