Leguizamo, Gibson, others on the Take
John Leguizamo, Tyrese Gibson, Rosie Perez, Bobby Cannavale, RZA and Meagan Good are set to star in indie drama The Take. The Los Angeles-set story follows an armored truck driver who is shot during a heist and then, after his rehabilitation, his drive to track down the criminal. Music video director Brad Furman will make his feature directing debut from the script by Josh and Jonas Pate (who were creators on NBC television series Surface). Ithaka Films will produce and Hatchet Films will finance the film, which will begin shooting in September. It will be shot on location in predominantly Latino neighborhoods.
