Ridley Scott, Berloff to Make Gucci Bio
Paramount Pictures is developing a feature film based on the lives of the Gucci family and has hired Andrea Berloff (World Trade Center) to write a script, with Ridley Scott attached to direct it. The story will follow the family over many years and track its rise to become of the of the top fashion houses in the business. The family was also marred by plenty of tragedy, including: Paolo Gucci almost sending his father Aldo to prison for tax fraud; the murder of Maurizio Gucci; and his widow, Patrizia, convicted several years later of ordering his death. Scott's production unit will produce the movie, along with Giannina Gacio.
