Palm-Star and Red Bird go for 3 Nights
Palm-Star Entertainment and Red Bird Cinema will team to film an adaptation of Buzz Bissinger's novel 3 Nights in August. The story focuses on a three-game baseball series in 2003 between rival clubs the St. Louis Cardinals and the Chicago Cubs. Bissinger had extensive access to Cardinals manager Tony La Russa for the story, and both will receive executive producer credits. Actor Kevin Pollak will write the screenplay.
