Radford Finds a Mule
Michael Radford (The Merchant of Venice) will direct The Mule (La Mula). The story is set during the waning months of the Spanish Civil War and is based on Juan Eslava Galan's novel. Galan also wrote the screenplay, a biographical story of his father who was forced to fight on both sides during the war. He finds a mule on the battlefield, hides it with other mules, and accompanies it during his war experiences. Radford is a Spanish speaker and also hopes to shoot the movie in Spanish.
