De Bont Has Stopping Power
Jan De Bont will direct Stopping Power, an action film from an original script by Eric Red. The screenplay is being revised by Richard Shepard, who recently wrote and directed The Matador. The story concerns a test pilot on vacation in Germany with his daughter. But things turn frightening when their RV is hijacked, with his daughter inside. De Bont previously helmed such hits as Speed and Twister.
