Immigrant Boy Goes to Hollywood
Mexican director Patricia Riggen is being given the Hollywood treatment for her first feature film Immigrant Boy. The story is about a young Mexican boy and his journey to the US to find his migrant mother, after his grandmother dies. Kate Del Castillo is on board as the mother, and Adrian Alonso is the boy. Other cast members include America Ferrera (who appeared in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants) and Mexican comedian Eugenio Derbez.
