Picturehouse goes into Labyrinth
Picturehouse, the joint venture of New Line Cinema and HBO, has acquired North American rights to Guillermo Del Toro's Pan's Labyrinth. The movie is set in 1940s fascist Spain and centers on a lonely child named Ofelia. The child has to come to grips with post-war repression and does so by creating a world full of mythical creatures. Cast members of the film include Maribel Verdu, Sergi Lopez, Ivana Baguero and Doug Jones.
