Big Brother flies Kite
Jorge and Javier Aguilera, aka Big Brother, are set to direct the live action adaptation of the Japanese anime film Kite for producers Rob Cohen and Anant Singh. Joshua Rubin will adapt the screenplay. In the original anime feature by Yasuomi Umetsu, the film centers on a young woman whose parents have been murdered, then taken in by a corrupt detective who uses kids to do his foul deeds. She takes out her own brand of justice on the detective's targets before turning her attention to him. The film is known for its graphic display of violence and sensuality.
