Paramount picks up Rex
Paramount has acquired the spec script Rex Mex from newbie screenwriter Shawn Patrick. The movie will center on a professional basketball player who runs off to Mexico in order to hide from some dangerous creditors. He winds up playing in that country's basketball league.
