LG is Tender for Crowe Flick
Lionsgate has obtained the distribution rights to Tenderness in North America, the U.K., Australia and South Africa. Russell Crowe stars in the indie thriller about a teenager (Sophie Traub) who befriends a serial killer (Jon Foster). Crowe is a cop who has been tracking the killer for a number of years. Laura Dern also stars in the John Polson-directed film. Emil Stern wrote the screenplay from Robert Cormier's novel. Lionsgate hopes to release the movie sometime in late 2007.

Crowe is Tender
Australian star Russell Crowe has signed on to star in Tenderness. Crowe, coming off acclaim for his recent starring role in Cinderella Man, has been looking to work with director Polson since they worked together on 1990's Prisoners of the Sun.

Polson gets some Tenderness
John Polson has signed on to direct Tenderness, a movie based on the teen serial killer novel by Robert Cormier. The book centers on a teenage runaway who becomes involved with a charming serial killer who is about her age.
