Universal in Turbulence
Universal has acquired the pitch Turbulence from Tom Pabst, who will also write the screenplay. Sydney Pollack and Anthony Minghella will produce the film, which will center on a frustrated L.A. pilot who stumbles onto a fascinating conspiracy over several trips to Tokyo. He becomes drawn to commit a crime that ultimately gets him involved in the Tokyo underworld.
