Romero drives a Buick
George Romero, the king of zombie horror and helmer of such films as Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead and the recent Land of the Dead, has been set to direct an adaptation of the Stephen King novel From a Buick 8. Johnathon Schaech and Richard Chizmar wrote the screenplay adaptation. The story centers on a state trooper who winds up killed on the side of the road. His fellow officers try to rally around his son to help him cope with the loss of his father, but the child discovers a dark secret in the back shed of the barracks. As a result, things begin to stir both in the shed itself and in the hearts and minds of the troopers themselves.
