Bello and Butler catch Butterfly
Maria Bello and Gerard Butler will star alongside Pierce Brosnan in the indie thriller Butterfly on a Wheel. The movie will be directed by Michael Barker (A Good Woman) and will have Butler and Bello playing a couple who are idyllically happy until their daughter is abducted by Brosnan's character.

Brosnan goes dark
Pierce Brosnan, who plays a hitman in the upcoming The Matador, has accepted the "villain" role in the indie thriller Butterfly on a Wheel. Mike Barker is directing the film from a screenplay by William Morrissey. The movie centers on a happy couple with an idyllic life that is shattered when their daughter is kidnapped. Over a 24 hour period, the kidnapper goes about systematically dismantling their lives. Brosnan will play the kidnapper.
