New Line gets a Pet

New Line Cinema has acquired the pitch The Perfect Pet from writer Eric Wald. It's the tale of a genetic engineer who creates the ideal pet in order to impress his kids (he's divorced from his wife). Soon, however, the creation makes up its mind to do its own stuff.
