Carnahan to tell Wright story
Joe Carnahan is set to write and direct an as-yet untitled film about the life of Will Wright, a high school prodigy who became the starter for a $70 million drug empire at the age of 17. The kid was a National Merit Scholar and a fine athelete, even to the point where the Seattle Mariners drafted him. In the end, he was caught in a sting and revealed to be the "kingpin" behind a drug and money laundering operation. He served eight years in prison, finally seeing release two years ago when he was 26-years-old.
