Hardwicke throws Wrench in plans
Catherine Hardwicke is set to direct and develop The Monkey Wrench Gang for Columbia Pictures. The movie will be based on the anti-establishment classic by Edward Abbey. William Goldman is writing the screenplay, which centers on environmental activists who waged warfare of sorts against road builders and construction developers in Utah.
