Writer ready for Wrecking Crew
Paramount Pictures has hired Scott Kosar to adapt the screenplay from John Albert's book Wrecking Crew: The Really Bad News Griffith Park Pirates. The book is a memoir of sorts from Albert, who is a former drummer for Bad Religion and an ex-junkie. In the book, Albert and one of his punk rock/ex-junkie friends decide to join a men's public recreation baseball team. The story chronicles all of the struggles of the teammates, from their dealings with prostitutes and drug issues to their aspirations to act to a Japanese member's efforts to learn the language and find his place in a world that is foreign to him.
