Paramount goes to roller derby
Paramount Pictures has purchased an untitled roller derby pitch from Jeff and Craig Cox, setting it up at MTV Films. The movie will center on the re-emergence of the sport, which started a comeback in 2001. There are now 35 all-female leagues in operation, and this movie is said to be taking a "League of Their Own" approach to the subject matter. The specific plot details are being kept under wraps at this point.
