Apatow is Universal
Following on the heels of the success of The 40 Year-Old Virgin, Universal Pictures has signed that film's director/co-writer, Judd Apatow, to write and direct an untitled new project. Seth Rogen, who has been involved in Apatow's projects from a young age and co-starred in Virgin, will have the lead role. Additionally, Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann will star. Apatow has said that the film will be an offbeat romantic comedy and that its budget will be in the same range as Virgin's $26 million amount.
