Warner Bros. goes for Whiskey
Warner Bros. has purchased Whiskey River, a spec script by the former secretary of the Navy James Webb. John Patrick Shanley will adapt the script for Rob Reiner to both direct and produce. The story is centered around an American soldier who was injured in Iraq and then sent to a hospital in the U.S. He hasn't even fully recovered before he is asked to return to active duty. The young man father decides that the only way he can save his son is to kidnap him.
