Grazer goes for Yakuza
Imagine Entertainment's Brian Grazer has purchased an untitled drama set in the world of Japanese yakuza for Universal Pictures. Aaron and Matthew Benay are set to write the screenplay. The movie will be set in Kyoto and centers on a white American kid who is orphaned in Japan and raised by gang members in the yakuza. When the group becomes involved in a major gang war, he becomes one of their strongest leaders.
