Westworld, ho!
Although it was put off when Arnold Schwarzenegger was elected governor of California, Warner Bros. and producer Jerry Weintraub have decided to go forward with a remake of Westworld. Tarsem, who directed the cell and the memorable video for R.E.M.'s Losing My Religion, will be at the helm. Schwarzenegger had been attached to star in and produce the film before cutting short his ending career to pursue politics. However, if he should either lose next year's re-election race or decide not to run, it's possible that he could become involved in the project (though his representatives say that's unlikely).
The original movie featured Yul Brynner as a robotic gunfighter who turns an Old West theme park into a nightmare. There is no screenplay or writer yet attached to the project.
